Great news!!

We have been able to allow for openings in our toddler room.  We found a great new teacher and are so excited!  If you have a child 12-18 months and are in need of FT or PT childcare, please send us an email to mskellishouse@gmail.com

a waitlist has been started in case of withdrawal from a family.

Please remember that pre-enrollment is a first come, first serve basis per the state of NM and the ECECD department.

CLASS 1:  Early PreK- must be age 3 on or before August 31 @ midnight

Class 2: Mixed Ages PreK- must be 3 or 4 on or before August 31 @ midnight

Class 3: PreK- must be 4 on or before August 31st @ midnight

Employment Opportunities

MKH is looking for early childhood teachers to work with children ages 2-3 in our early preschool and preschool classrooms. 

We offer a competitive salary, which depends on experience and level of education, great working hours and a fun environment.  We need the adults of the classroom to have strong emotional intelligence and strong executive functioning skills.  We need the adults of the classroom to understand they are the role model in the classroom and that we focus on creating a safe place to learn. We need the adults of the classroom to possess strong, positive communication skills so parents of the children feel a level of trust and transparency with regards to supporting the child's developmental goals, family engagement activities and the classroom environment.

Our school follows the school schedule of APS and is a small, educational environment of approximately 70 children within 5 classrooms.  Our teachers are long standing teachers within the community and the school, devoting themselves to curriculum and structure of the day, making sure each child feels admired, respected and appreciated.

If you have an AA/AS in early childhood, a Montessori Diploma, or are working towards a degree and would love the opportunity to work in small community preschool,

MKH Preschool Academy

~28 years in the making~

 

The preschool program is Monday-Friday from 8:45am-3:15pm

School starts in August and ends in May. Summers are not included.

We follow the yearly APS school calendar with parent-teacher conferences, holidays, and snow days.

Our elementary schools are Seven Bar, Petroglyph, and Sierra Vista.

Your child must their enrollment age by August 31st in order to enroll.  September 1st is the cut off date per the State of NM.

Copy of shot records and state pre-k enrollment forms are a must for enrollment.  Tours upon request and a parent orientation will take place before the school starts in July, (TBA) to give all new families insight to the wonders of the  Preschool/Pre-k years.
