Ms. Kelli's House Inc. is a small privately owned community preschool located in Paradise Hills, of Albuquerque, NM.
MKH has two programs:
Early Preschool program for children 18m-age 3
(Funded through state assistance or private tuition)
Early Pre-k and Pre-k program for children ages 3-5
(Funded through the NM Pre-k Initiative through federal funding)
The school follows a school calendar with the same concepts, parent conferences and holidays as APS schools. Our sister elementary school are Petroglyph, Seven Bar and Sierra Vista. The school year starts in August of each year and ends in May each year. Summer camp is offered at certain times and dates as well. The school day is from 8:45am-3:15pm. We offer before and after school for parents who need this option, times are 7:00-8:45 am and 3:15-5:30pm and will have a private tuition cost.
Curriculum used in each classroom is High Scope for academics and Heggerty for Literacy and Phonemic Awareness. We also participate in the states FOCUS program, and follow NM Pre-k Standards. You can click on the bios and team page to see each teacher and their goals.
Each classroom is designed with a classroom culture in mind, to align with the school culture. Each parent can see the passion and dedication of each teacher within their classroom. We have fun with our children and work on basic practical life skills, emotional intelligence, executive functioning skills, and age appropriate academics.
We have seen the changes in early childhood education over the past 28 years and are very proud of our learning environment. We enjoy watching how the family engagements activities that are created through out the year provide a feeling of community within our little school. We support our youngest learners and wish them to have the very best experience while attending the first classrooms.
